		<description>Dear Jennifer,
I loved your post about art! Seeing the journals reminded me how much I wish the new IO book was spiral bound. As much as I love the IO, I miss being able to print it off, whole punch it and have it in a spiral binder, I guess I like the ability to have it lay flat when I write in it. You work and words are always inspiring, thanks for sharing of yourself.

~hugs~
Melisa

		<description>Hi Gwen!!!

I&#039;m working all the time but mainly still jumping around and making a lot of things I throw away. I noddled for quite a while on the mystery/holes/canyons idea from the LK class we took together and still haven&#039;t figured out how to make bigger / other pieces from it. Still I have a lot of energy.

I really like the idea of having an art journal but find that the idea of working my stuff out in it like I would my Life Planner (where I write free hand pages and pages of crap to clear my head and then work with the questions) works best for me and the art journal is more about a) having fun and b) exploring themes and ideas without much at stake.

Messy is my middle name. I&#039;m always coming downstairs with paint all over me. I need to learn to be less messy.... and I am, a little bit.

I did two swaps and found I hated making art for a purpose. I like giving things away but haven&#039;t yet found a way to make something for someone -- any sense of an idea or purpose seems to stop me dead in my tracks.

Love~~~!!!!!!

<description>beautiful, indeed! I have been watching for a post about art, glad to see one. I love your pages, I still feel self-conscious while I am making a page in my art journal, hearing an inner critic, or an outer one, and not loosening up for full expression. I try to find the meaning to the page, rather than letting the meaning be the creation.

How often are you working on some art? I have done a lot of swap things lately, but not much in a journal. I miss artfest.

xo,
Gwen
