The New ComfortQueen.com Website

The New ComfortQueen.com Website

I have a new website–yes after 9 years, I finally pulled the trigger and created a new website. Actually sites. And I wrote a darn good blog entry about the process so if would please pop over to see the sites (pun intended) and read what I learned about change–it’s all about being in motion in small ways–I’d be so delighted.

P.S. It’s much easier to comment on the new blog and I’d love to hear your voice there.

Comfort Resources

In the spirit of the amazing Writer’s Spa I just had the blessing of helping to create and for those of you who might consider attending the Writer’s Tele-Summit here are a few favorite new writing books.

How to Write: Advice and Reflections by Richard Rhodes

A Writer’s Coach by Jack Hart

From Where You Dream: The Process of Writing Fiction by Robert Olen Butler and Janet Burroway

Courage and Craft by Barbara Abercrombie

Standing at Water’s Edge by Anne Paris, PhD

Naming the World and Other Exercises for the Creative Writer edited by Bret Anthony Johnston

Comfort Wishes

I am all of this
(How about you?):
The itch and the scratch
the ache and the achievement
the choking rage and the “I see your point”
the desire to make a difference and
the desire to put my head under the covers
the love in his eyes and the longing in mine

When did we ever learn that we have to put down what’s in one hand to
embrace what’s in the other?
Now is the time to hold it all,
hold the fullness and
drop the struggle.

We are all of this. And more.
