The dream I had last night was so extraordinarily vivid- ait feels so clearly related to this letting go process I’m in the midst of. The dream itself was too long to recount in detail but the up shot of it is I was on a TV show to talk about my writing? – not sure for what. The show itself was no big deal- but suddenly afterwards, I was hugely famous. Later, I was watching a ballet/dance/huge Broadway-type show from outside a Manhattan building- as in being staged outside and it was a show about my rise to fame (written by me). Later, my ex-lover? former crush? (either way, some man who had always been unavailable to me), was being arrested for stealing a painting and wrecking his car with the painting in it because he claimed the painting was, and always had been, his. Created by him. But it wasn’t- it was mine. Created by me.
Okay, weigh in here. What do you see in this dream?
I have been dreaming so vividly, so intensely, every night… not sure if it is the essential oils I’m using or that I’m going through yet another transition…
PS
Watched my 2nd ever Superbowl. It isn’t the game that’s interesting to me, it is the build up to the game, how people of such diverse communities and differences share a common love for a moment, a coming together, a way to reach out to each other. Sorry that we won’t have an excuse (how sad us us think we need one!) – at least not for another year. ![]()

it seems, and i am NO expert on dream significance, that this fame is the equal to this lottery mentality you r letting go of.
the 2nd part seems like grieving the loss of something that was yours by right and yet in the public eye it seems as if it is someone else’s.
the stealing requires grieving. i know, i have been robbed 4 times!
thats all i see. hope the peices come together for you! ciao! cindy

So interesting, Jennifer. I’m kinda jealous- I used to dream quite vividly for a short period in my life… but, I rarely remember dreams anymore.
Anyway- very interesting. I get the same thing Cindy was getting. I’m no expert on dream analysis, either, but some experts say that every single person in the dream represents a part of you (kind of like real life, eh?)
So, I’m wondering what part of you feels like it’s been inaccessible, needing love, and needs to grab something that has been precious to you, accidentally destroying it, to get your attention… Does that resonate at all?
The Sufis say that the lover going to the Beloved is like the moth to the flame- everything is annihilated in the embrace of the Divine. But what you get back is You.
Another question: what’s being burned up in your embracing of your surrender in ‘growing down’? What part of little-y ‘you’ is being plowed under to make way for Big-Y ‘You’?

Do you feel that someone or something is stealing your creativity?

When I was a teenager, I loved interpretting dreams for all of my friends. It’s been years, but here is my take on it.
You being hugely famous and watching this reinactment of your life and your ascension into fame is almost like your current self watching the actions of your higher self or your creative potential.
I think when we focus on acheiving so much and doing all the work ourselves (as much as we push ourselves to ask for help) we don’t let the universe help in the way it can. By letting go, you are releasing all this energy you had wrapped up in striving. In the dream, you are vividly watching the result of this huge release.
Morever, by letting go, the energy caught up with the unattainable lover is released and he crashes his car. Your painting is freed.
So, to me the dream is all about what is possible when we let go and go with the flow. You can see the possibilities.
Maybe I’m totally off. What were your feelings from the dream?

Jennifer
I think this dream is significant, and while no expert, I have been reading about dream work. There are two aspects, the feminine creative, and the masculine creative (who in this dream seems like a thief and a fraud). He is from the past, so represents a former way your masculine side used to work. Now, your new feminine side is on display, getting attention, and perhaps a part of you (old part) wants to rob your new self of that ccomplishment?
dreams have so much energy in them, it’s worth sitting down and having a dialogue between the different parts, to find out what they would say to each other.
best,
Jenn
