Check out Lynn Perrella and I discussing getting started in art making. What to do when you have no ideas or too many ideas, and how to be kind to yourself during the creative process.
I got to meet Lynn at ArtFest last week and it was a brief but delightful treat. Her work is nothing short of breathtaking.

Loved the black construction paper “play” – reminded me of morning pages and why we do them – to keep writing until something comes through, to keep creating.

it so much fun to have the chance to connect with you and then take Anahata’s class. the lessons from that day continue to come to me.
i wish it could have continued for a few more days but i realize that, as a friend said to me, i might have been eaten by my own energy. now i am trying to dig through it all and recognize what i now know as i write about this experience on my blog.
it is great that you have these podcasts since i don’t have sirius radio at this point…and the black construction paper idea is such fun! so glad to have listened to this today.

Hi Jen! Just lost my podcast virginity listening to your interview with Lynn Perrella. How FUN! It’s energizing to hear your voice, and what a delight to actually hear other creative women talk about their lives, their processes, their struggles — from the comfort of my own studio. Hurray for community seen and unseen. Blessings!

it was my first year at artFest, too. wasn’t it an amazing experience? you were in my class with anne grgich – she’s an amazing artist. i’m actually still recovering from the exhaustion of it all. i’m calling it my happiness exhaustion!
take care…looking forward to pics..

Thanks for the pats on the podcast back. Carla – I’m honored to be the one you lost your podcast virginity with. Lynne is great – I’m signed up to take a class with her at ArtUnraveled in August. Her work is so full of depth!
Liz- I adored reading about your blog entries on your blog about ArtFest. You are such a tender, sweet, honest person. It was such a treat to meet you.
Kelly – I really liked Anne’s class too and was blown away by what you made. By what everybody made. I stil hate my paintings but I want to go back and make more using her ideas. What was that black stuff we outlined with?
I want to take a class with Anne that goes for six weeks so we can really learn the techniques.
