Dear Powerful Creators,

I'm in the thick of writing my new book -- I still don't have a title -- but as you may know, it's based on the Inner Organizer -- if you hurry, you can still get your 2006 version here.

I'm praying, visualizing, and humbly setting the intention that I can write a book that helps us:

  • fit everything in and follow all the threads of our lives,
  • remind us how to live from our spiritual center and listen to our own wisdom,
  • gently prods us to be creators instead of a problem solvers,
  • offers imaginative ways to live our life-lessons, and
  • create from desire, using intuition versus pushing/striving, white-knuckling and "shoulds".

Our recent topic about foundation has struck a chord with many in the Self-Care Minder Community. I have made an unwritten agreement to share questions, answers, theories and approaches as much as possible to help start you off on your road to creating or shoring up your foundation.

I invite you to join me in my "agreement" by discussing your thoughts and feelings in the Heart & Hearth section of the Message Boards

In fact, a 2006 Inner Organizer user posted a great question on the message boards so, I'm sharing both the question and, of course, my answer with you below.  I've intentionally made this week's Self-Care Minder main article short but powerful -- as I don't want anything to distract you from deeply pondering the question and answer for a moment. If you find it thought-provoking, I hope you'll join our Inner Organizer community.  It is thriving!

Wishing you the knowledge you are always enough,

Self-Care Minder
The Core of Foundation

Note: The question behind the question the reader is asking is 'How would I live this year if I believed I were enough, had enough, was enough?"

Q: If I feel I am enough and can lean back into that and relax, where do my inner drive and desires come in? What pushes me to live more authentically? When do I relax and when do I keep pushing? Is this related to the concept of ying and yang?

A: When you lean back, trust yourself -- and something larger than yourself (whatever that is for you, even if it doesn't have a name) -- and stop regularly to center and listen, you find the more natural and sustainable path of your life.  You give up trying to know how everything will turn out and you start receiving and working within the present moment -- which is where everything happens anyway!

Your desires can actually expand and naturally help you move toward them, and you find yourself with much more energy to help them unfold. Yet moving through your life this way requires letting go of the trapeze bar of knowing and hanging in empty air before you perceive what the next bar -- or knowing -- is.  Sometimes, you have to fall for awhile to learn there is always a net underneath you.

Comfort Wishes
Whenever life makes itself known to you,
there is your path.
Whenever desire gives her come hither look,
whenever trust flutters its wings,
whenever mystery is received into your belly,
there is your path.

Whenever time turns into prayer,
whenever love jiggles the doorknob,
whenever you rest in witnessing,
There is your path.

Wishing you and I the patience and faith to find the foundation that is always there.
