Hello Fierce and Passionate Creatures,

Jennifer LoudenI am gearing up to publish The Self-Care Minder weekly again but I'm not quite there yet so here is a quick update because there is info I need you to have and I hate going to long without saying HELLO.

I hope you’re visiting the blog were I am blabbing about creating art for the first time. The comments from women visiting are so rich and instructive.

The Great Inner Organizer Talent Search and Giveaway
The Inner Organizer is taking on a new form--as an undated book for publication fall 2006 by New World Library. I need a great, accurate, intriguing title--both my publisher and I agree the Inner Organizer would be confusing to book sellers-- the organizer part would throw them for a loop. But what to call it?

The fit-it-all-in-live-from-your-center-remember-what-is-most-important-enjoy-healthy-self-care-use-your-intuition-track-what-you-really-do book?

Suggest a winning title (or one that is close to what we use) and win:

  • 1 month creativity coaching, three 30-40 minute sessions with me
  • Complete set of my books
  • Soul Deliverable PDF
  • Audio Retreat – Living the Questions

Deadline for title suggestions (make as many as you like, multiple emails are fine): January 23rd, 2006. Send to jen@jenniferlouden.com

If you have any ideas what you would in this book, do send those too!

Cool Inner Organizer Tips
I found that by cutting up the IO pages into threes and pasting them in 9x12 journal I have more room to write and paste and make art around the prompts. See first pages

Make your IO a brag book--paste in printed emails of praise, snapshots of friend hugging, a flower bud of a meditation walk. I'm doing that and adding art.

Use the IO as a calendar for your inner life. Keep it by your bed, dream, doodle, read each night (especially the insights!), then transfer what you need to do day-to-day to your regular calendar. For example, this week I wrote under Could Do "mindful eating." Then I made a to-do on Tuesday's calendar which resides on my laptop: "make a snack for Lil right before she gets home." We would sit down together and visit and eat mindfully together as I've noticed very recently she has picked up my habit of noshing without thinking. The inner work lead to a tangible step. (Only tangible next steps that you can do that day belong on your to-do list- ever!)

I am supporting the use of the Inner Organizer in such a more creative way this year. Please consider joining our community if you haven't already and please talk to each other on the message boards. Do tell me what you want in any of the future monthly audio updates--I'm going to do February on falling in love with ourselves again--Karen's idea.

Blahs
I'm writing a column about working with the blahs--the gist is we all have those periodic blah days where we feel uninspired, unmotivated, and listless. I will explore the possible causes of this experience, and offer strategies for coping with the blahs from a spiritual and loving place. I will also share my thoughts on the myth that we need these periods to refuel creativity, while also dispelling the notion that we should (or even can) be happy and productive all the time.

I'd LOVE--ADORE--NEED--WOULD BE SO HAPPY to hear your thoughts on this topic--from what you do to the purpose the blahs serve for you to favorite websites or books that jiggle you forward or help you sink deeper... Visit my blog to have your say or email me at jen@jenniferlouden.com

Goodies I Like
SuperViva.com is a brand new resource to help you dream about things you want to do in your life, make a prioritized list, get inspiration from likeminded people, and find resources to make your goals happen. The site makes a great companion to the Inner Organizer and allows you to keep all your "I've always wanted to's" and intentions in one place and creates a place to reflect on the accomplishments and events that make up your precious life.

"First, I must say that my public reason for taking the Meditation Secrets for Women teleclass, to learn tools to reinvigorate my meditation practice, was certainly met by your great teaching. Actually, the class helped me change my life! So thanks, more than I know how to say, for being you in the moments I got to share with you." -- Anneliese Truame, Professor, Cornell University

Comfort Wishes
The chambered nautilus offers
her secrets to you
wishes for the rhythm of the tides
to surge through your body.
So natural, this
expanding, this contracting.

The honey bee flying to and fro offers
his diligent sweetness to you
wishes for tasting the pollen of your life
milking each glistening drop.
So natural, this
ebullience, this warmth.

The goose offers
her wild cry to you
wishes that you too fly south to shelter
and rest and loyal succor in a still pond.
So natural, this
migration, this leaving.

So natural that the whole world wishes you well.
