In part one of this three blog series, coaches Jen Louden, Rachelle Mee-Chapman and Ronna Detrick interview each other about their membership sites –The Comfort Cafe, Flock, and A Conversation Space. Which one is the right fit for your soulcare needs? Join us and find your place of support and inspiration.
Today here: our ideal community member, a shoebox full of treasures, and the Trio Proverbs Cards Collection, our gift to you. Thanks for being here!
Q: If you had to create a persona for your ideal community member, who would she be?
Jen: My ideal community member for The Comfort Cafe are the gals I hang out with now – that might sound cheesy but it won’t be the first time.
Smart, curious, creative, super compassionate, active in a spiritual way of being and seeing, loves nature, chocolate, and naps. My community member is sometimes racked by perfectionism, self-doubt, more creative ideas and interests than she could pursue in five lifetimes, and often too many commitment, and a burning desire to make a difference in the world.
She’s me!
Rachelle: My ideal Flock member is interested in standing in her power to create her own spiritual path.
She is willing to share her ideas and talents with others in ways that are healthy and not overly taxing for her. She likes having a team of counselors and coaches around her to help out as needed. She offers support to others in the community in small-but-meaningful ways. She can go deep, or play giddily in the shallows. She’s okay with a diversity of beliefs and practices and likes learning from other’s traditions and perspectives. She’s looking for her Soultribe.
She’s curious.
Ronna: The ideal partner for A Conversation Space has a big heart that ponders deep thoughts. She wonders if she can state all that she feels out loud without being seen as crazy. She may have some faith background but has walked away from most of it (or is consistently tempted to). Still, it haunts her somehow.
She wishes that she could feel more connected to a sense of power or life that is both outside and inside of her; a god maybe, but not necessarily. She wishes for a context and community in which she can ask her deepest questions and know she’s not alone. She loves being in relationship with other strong women; they strengthen and embolden her. She wants to live boldly, out-loud, and in declarative ways, but sees and feels the risk all the time.
She longs for spaces/voices/faces with whom she can be her truest, most amazing self.
Q: All the treasures from your membership site are in a shoe box under my bed. What’s in there?
Jen: Acceptance, awareness, compassion, play, little bitty actions, mindful questions, mindful whining, bras-off gab fests, belly laughs, hand-holding, being seen, spaciousness, embodiment, writing, color, poetry, dancing, triumphs, bragging, stories, grieving…
These treasures come in the form of videos, mood changer audios, virtual retreats, coaching calls, wise guests like Cheryl Richardson, Keri Smith, Jill Badonsky, Laura Berman Fortgang, Abby Seixas, Susan Piver, Sofia Diaz, Todd Kasdan, not quite daily dollop emails, Sunday Life Organizer questions, and hanging together at the forums.
There is so much goodness to choose from, and it’s all organized in a way that either comes directly to you or is easily searchable and always available.
Rachelle: A collection of wise sayings and advice from the team of soulcare providers at Flock. A stack of collages honoring your accomplishments and vision throughout the year. Photographs of the high holy days Flock has helped you celebrate with friends and family.
This Summer’s Read-a-Long, Keri Smith’s How to Be an Explorer of the World . Emails and addresses of the soulsisters you’ve met in the Chatter rooms. MP3s on your Ipod playing blessings from Magpie Girl in your ears.
Ronna: Transcripts from fabulous, open, vulnerable, soul-searching conversations that took place between members on the forum. MP3 files that hold conversations with amazing women like Karen Maezen Miller, Danielle LaPorte, Patti Digh, and Jen Louden, just to name a few!
Awesome reflective guides that invite members into deeper conversations with their own hearts and lives, peeling back the layers, looking deeper, telling the truth. Lots of blog posts and emails that invite significant conversation with ourselves and others.
Receipts from the conference call service showing the two hours per month we spent on the phone together, having fabulous conversation about topics that matter. A big long list of all the things I yet want to create, offer, and invite!
Are you picking up what we’re laying down? Join our mailing list to find out what else we are offering, and receive our exclusive Trio Collection of printable Proverbs Cards. (Shuffle for inspiration!) See you tomorrow at Magpie Girl for part two of the interview series. Cheers!

I love the Comfort Cafe and especially the forum, which is a very warm and friendly community. I found it with a sigh of relief, glad there was a group of like-minded women with whom to explore many different things. For me the Cafe is always wonderful source of wise support and ideas. And yes, I do love nature, naps and chocolate.

Oh! There *are* more of me! There’s always so much celebration and comfort in that discovery.
What all three of you have written here could be my bio – I love it when someone expresses the words that resonate so loudly yet seem to escape me when trying to come up with them myself!
Looking forward to part 2.
