I finished my column for March Body+Soul yesterday and I automatically went to check it off my to-do list – done! But that list is gone. I understood in that moment how addicted I have been to my calendar. It felt so freeing to not be able to check it off. Free from the tangible part of my addiction to productivity!
I’m off today for a six day aurvyvedic cleanse. I’ve been preparing for it for two weeks – although slipped up a few times with bites of chocolate and last night, two glasses of wine and pizza. Boy that tasted good although doesn’t feel so good this morning. I’m such a light weight!

Pizza is good for the soul. That is when we are clogged with our lowest feelings/thoughts/habits. Nothing beats a cleansed body. You just feel that you have attained a higher level as a person.
Wishing you the very best.
N.B.Your column is the first I read in B+S.Know that you are appreciated.

Jennifer, don’t start getting obsessed about eating pizza being bad. It’s bread and cheese, people been eating bread and cheese for centuries. Getting frothy about should and shouldn’t eating is a good way to work up an eating disorder. And trust me, you don’t want to add that monkey to your tree!
Enjoy your cleanse and retreat.
Does your 9 month retreat mean no Taos Spa in 2008?

Oh don’t worry Victoria, I’m not getting all freaked out about food – okay, no more than I always have been. I’m doing the Beatles thing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maharishi_Mahesh_Yogi and getting all my ami out… I’m not a TM’er but more and more drawn to auryvedic healing… that’s all!
And 9 months off ends June 1st and so we are on for Taos and it is scheduled and up already on JenniferLouden.com!!!
LOVE!
