"I read your Self-care Minder and got that twist in my stomach, the tear in my eye, that tells me when I am connecting with a truth that I need to learn at a particular time. I get stuck in the rut of my wonderful life (which sounds terrible) but it is the 'sameness' and routine that seems to drive me down.

Your words seemed to take some scales off my eyes - so I could see that within my life, there are wonderful presents that I just haven't been aware of. The love and adoration of my husband, the little things he does to show me he cares, the love of my children, the smiles of my neighbours, an email from a friend. I have been seeking a 'community', and to some extent, focussing and fearing what I have not ie "I don't have enough friends, my friends don't understand me, I feel like I do all the giving in my friendships" - but it is only my focus that has been on the wrong thing. Your words shifted the focus, like changing the setting on a telescope - I am being given so much love and acceptance from those already in my life, if I choose to ACCEPT IT and I do.
