Have you been focused on taking care of and supporting others? Are you deeply tired? Are you in the midst of a transition? Come soak up some authentic self-nurturing. Jennifer Louden, best-selling author of The Woman’s Comfort Book, offers you a “magic pause button,” a way to stop your busy life, savor a deep breath, and gain some perspective on what is working and what isn’t. Join a community of like-minded women to experience true rest and healthy comfort. You’ll dance, collage, play, reenergize body and soul, listen to what your desires and complaints are telling you, and reconnect to the spark of your feminine wisdom.

The Comforting Creative Pull Your Life Together by Caring for Yourself Retreat

Sunday, April 12th through Thursday, April 17th, 2009
Kripalu Retreat Center
Stockbridge, MA

If you’re like most women, you spend your days juggling commitments and multiple roles, in a constant dance between everybody else’s needs and your own. If you’re exhausted by this over-striving, rushing, making-life-happen mode, don’t give up—there is another way. Actually, lots of other ways! In this deeper version of her popular weekend program, Jennifer Louden, author of The Life Organizer, guides you to transform the daily challenge of taking care of yourself into calm, creativity, and flow. We’ll use comfort journaling (collage, mindful questions, and movement), visualization, discussion, laughter, yoga, and play to unwind frustration, ease exhaustion, and tame overwhelm. You’ll learn how to increase creativity and energy, be a creator instead of a victim, access greater sources of knowledge than your conscious mind, and design powerful practices to ground you daily.

Note: both of these retreats are registered through Kripalu Retreat Center, in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Go here or call 866.200.5203.

I’m happy to answer any program questions just email me at jen at jenniferlouden.com but I can’t register you, only Kripalu can.

What’s Next: A Comforting, Energizing, Restful Retreat for Women Whose Lives are Changing

Tuesday, June 23rd through Monday, June 29th
Morgan’s Rock Eco-Lodge
 Nicaragua

Join Jennifer and a community of like-minded women for five days of “creative yoga for the mind and spirit.” Jen has spent the last four years mapping the territory of change, and she’s discovered that often we can’t launch into what’s next because something is missing. We need rest, peace, trust, faith, energy, ways to navigate the fog of the unknown, discerning methods, and above all, time and help deeply listening. We also need help getting out of the snarls of less than happy making stories and beliefs that can hold us back.

We will let nature, collage making and art journaling, gentle movement, heart opening practices, and journaling reveal what you want more of (and less of) in your life. You will have the space and time to catch up with yourself and to name your true sources of connection so you can be sustained as you create your life. You’ll emerge renewed with a felt sense of how to navigate the next year of your life and the courage, creativity, and faith to begin to create what’s next. Prepare to laugh, cry, dance, and open to life in a whole new way.

Note: please register through Morgan’s Rock.

I’m happy to answer any program questions just email me at jen at jenniferlouden.com but I can’t register you, only Morgan’s Rock can.

The Luscious, Nurturing Get Your Writing Done While Laughing Your Butt Off and Maybe Crying a Little Too Writer’s Retreat

Sunday, July 26-Saturday, August 1, 2009
The Mabel Dodge Luhan House
Taos, New Mexico

You love to write. You like to write. You think you’d like to write.

For sure you know that if you had time free of distractions, you would get out that thing that that burns in you onto the page or would finally get ______ done.

Oh, and it would be pretty darn great if someone was serving you delicious food, and there was a coach on hand to hold yours when you got stuck.

You know what would be good? A supportive circle of women to cackle with.

Some heart-fueling, creativity-expanding writing seminars to melt away your fears and charge you up with sparkly, crackling inspiration wouldn’t be bad either.

And while you’re dreaming, why not add in time with your very own destuckification expert, a tour of art studios, some brain training, and gentle yoga … and smack the whole kit-and-kaboodle down in the most gorgeous, magical, charged-up creative place ever?

Sounds kinda perfect?

Only six spots left. Read details here.

You have such a wonderful uninflated style about you. People trust you because you are not a puffed up guru promising anything but GORGEOUS questions. The work you do is so valuable, so fine, so life changing for so many women. I personally know dozens of women who have you to thank for landmark changes they have made.”
